THE LITTLE ARGENTINIAN G.O.A.T.
Lionel Messi won his sixth Ballon D'Or award on Monday, beating to it the likes of Virgil Van Dijk, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah.
People were surprised to see that Ronaldo was in the top three. Other names in the top ten included Allison Becker (one of three Liverpool players in there), Robert Lewandowski (8th) and another surprise, Riyad Mahrez (10th) who beat the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Sergio Aguero to become the only Manchester City player in the top ten.
Allison Becker took home the Yachine Trophy, for the best goalkeeper of 2019 with a Champions League win, 2nd in Premier League and many a golden glove to suit.
Lucy Bronze, England Womens, took home 2nd in Ballon D'Or, coming just short of Megan Rapinoe, USA.
De Ligt, Juventus, took home the trophy for the Worlds Best Young Player, beating the likes of Jadon Sancho, Kylian Mbappe and Frankie De Jong.
Does this seal the argument of the Greatest Footballer of all-time?
