CHAMPIONS LEAGUE ROUND-UP
Four English teams look to progress into the final-16 in this weeks Champions league ties.
Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham in Chelsea seek to join already-qualified Juventus, PSG and Bayern Munich.
TUESDAY 26th NOVEMBER
Galatasary v Club Bruges
Club Bruges require two wins from their last two games in order to stand a chance at qualifying, whilst also hoping that Real Madrid lose theirs. Galatasaray are already eliminated.
Real Madrid v PSG
PSG already qualify, but will look to seal the top spot tonight against Madrid. Madrid will need at least two points from their two games to guarantee qualification, but two victories puts them in contention to top the group still, assuming PSG lose both of theirs.
Tottenham v Olympiakos
Spurs would qualify if they beat Olympiakos tonight, but again they could top the group with two victories n the unlikely event that Bayern lose both of theirs. Olympiakos would need two victories, and two Spurs losses in order to qualify.
Red Star Belgrade v Bayern Munich
Red Star would need a minimum of two victories out of two to stand a chance of qualifying, whilst Bayern Munich sit prettily at the top of Group B. A victory tonight would guarantee top spot.
Manchester City v Shakhtar Donetsk
A close group meant that City could have guaranteed their spot in the last 16 in their previous fixture, but failed to finish off Atalanta at the bottom of the table. Any points tonight would seal that for them. Shakhtar sit level with Dinamo on points so will be desperate to keep their head above the line.
Atalanta v Dinamo Zagreb
Bottom of the table Atalanta actually stand a chance at progression if they could muster two victories from two and hope the other results go their way. Dinamo sit neck and neck with Shakhtar, and face City in the final fixture so will see this as a must win against the struggling Italian side.
Lokomotiv Moskow v Bayer Leverkusen
Lokomotiv need victories in their final two games to stand a chance at progression, and with Atletico in their next game, they will see this as a must win to put them in contention. Leverkusen sit level with them and need to muster up the same kind of form to stand any chance.
Juventus v Atletico Madrid
In what should be a cracker of a game, Juventus could seal top spot tonight with a victory over visiting Atletico. Points for Atletico would sit them neck and neck with Juventus going into their final games. A loss for the Spaniards would put them at risk, should either Leverkusen or Moskow get the full three points.
WEDNESDAY 27th NOVEMBER
Liverpool v Napoli
One victory in their final two games will ensure qualification for Liverpool at the top of the table. Napoli chase close behind and will look to give Liverpool a hard time tonight in the fight for top spot.
Genk v Red Bull Salzburg
Genk are already eliminated from the competition with one point, so Red Bull will see it as a chance to close the gap on the top two by dispatching of the Dutch.
Barcelona v Dortmund
Barcelona will qualify tonight with a win against Dortmund so will be in high spirits as the German side are struggling with form recently. Dortmund are no push-overs in the Champions League though, as they came back to beat Inter Milan in the previous game to remain one point behind Barca.
Slavia Prague v Inter Milan
Slavia could still technically qualify with two wins, and some luck in the other results. However, Inter Milan must win both of their final games also to replace Dortmund in the later stages, who lead them in the table by three points.
Zenit St Petersburg v Lyon
Second-placed Lyon will progress to the final-16 with a win tonight, so Zenit must win in order to stay in the competition.
RB Leipzig v Benfica
One win from their two final games will be enough to see Leipzig progress, however they will look to finish at the top of the group starting with a victory tonight against Benfica.
Valencia v Chelsea
Chelsea, Valencia and Ajax sit on the same points in Group H, so the winner of tonights game will essentially qualify. Chelsea will look to seal this and leave Valencia to battle it out with Ajax for the next spot.
Lille v Ajax
Ajax battle already elimiated Lille, so a victory would give them the advantage going into their final game against Valencia.
